Starting Rare Opportunity

I've always enjoyed being a communicator. This has been true since before I was any good at it (assuming that I am good at all), and it is always rewarding to challenge one's self to understand a topic in enough depth that you are able to make difficult concepts clear and to present them in a way that is interesting and engaging to an audience. I find that true experts are able to use precise, but relatively simple language to illuminate. The insecure use vagueness and jargon to obfuscate. I have been on both sides of this particular equation, but hopefully on one side more than the other.
I started Rare Opportunity for two reasons. First, to have a way to organize communication activities in one place. Second, to be able to utilize any financial resources that result for investment in early and clinical-stage biotechnology companies so that in my own small way I am allowed the privilege of investing in the future of medicine.
